Now lets get to the cosmetics. The camera is about as beautiful as
a 2709 can get. The contrast of black paint, polished aluminum and
polished brass makes the lens set on the turret jump out at you. The
black body and the brass gages on the crank side of the camera really
say that this is not only an extreme example of precision engineering
but a fabulous example of metal art. This is a machine that did its
job better than any other, and it shows. Throughout history there
have always been high end cameras and then there was the exception.
The one that stood above them all. Bell & Howell 2709 cameras
were the exceptional one. They were coveted by all cameramen but they
cost more than a house in the same period. Not every one could achieve
the position of having a 2709.
