The lens is Cooke Speed Panchro F 2.0 and is clean and clear. The
F stop ring moves easily and smoothly through out its entire range.
The lens doesn't focus at infinity and I'm not entirely sure why it
doesn't. As with almost all cameras that had a working career longer
than ten years the lens has been replaced with a newer and better
one. The lens is still from the early 1920's. The front lens board
has been replaced sometime in the past. This is a normal thing except
they were usually replaced with an aluminum plate so it wouldn't crack
again. I'm glad this one was made from Colonial Honduran Mahogany,
just like the original.
