This Prestwich movement camera is from the early days of cinema. My
guess is that this camera could be from before 1910. The lens is from
a later date but this is a common thing to have happen, even with
today's cameras. As glass technology improves cameramen change their
lenses to the faster, more modern glass to keep up with the times.
I believe the lens is from around 1918. It is a Carl Zeiss Jena serial
# 783580 Tessar 1:2.7 f=8cm. The Mahogany lens mounting board has
been replaced as it isn't exactly the same color as the rest of the
camera.
