My friend Vivian Scanu from Australia has said the Australasia ltd
company was either purchased or merged with or became Greater Union
Cinemas. He has promised more information to follow.
Number 231 is in excellent mechanical condition. It cranks evenly
and smoothly and it has a matched set of four F2.3 lenses. Three Bausch
and Lomb F2.3 Baltars. 25mm, 50mm and a 75mm. The fourth lens is a
very special 100mm F2.3 ASTRO-GESELLSCHAPT patented June 9, 1925.
All lenses have very clean glass for their age and all irises work
well.
